Summer Fun Nearby
My husband and I normally don’t go anywhere far in the summer. It’s always been like this, as we tend to take our vacations in the spring and end of summer or early fall. That being said, don’t think we just mop around and stay home all summer long. Don’t forget we live in New York city where there’s tons of action, and we’re close to Jersey, and as you may know, there’s so many things to do in New Jersey too.
Wildwood vacations is definitely being considered as a summer treat for us, as the Radio Disney Summer concert series will be held in Wildwood, New Jersey. This will be held in July at Morey’s Piers. It will be nice seeing Raven-Symone and other Radio Disney’s hottest musical artists perform for free. Aside from that, going to Morey’s Piers and experience fun and adventure on its waterparks and amusement rides would be a great weekend get-away for us. There are beach front hotels on site, so accommodation should not be a problem.
Rounding up the events will be a concert series finale on July 26 at the Wildwoods Convention Center Oceanfront Arena with Raven-Symone and featuring Mitchell Musso from the “Hannah Montana” show. While this concert won’t be free, we can get $10 off an all-day waterpark ticket for either Raging Waters or Ocean Oasis, or $10 off an amusement pier wristband valid for all three of Morey’s Piers, or $15 off a one-day splash and ride combination ticket. Just imagining this weekend get-away and plotting these Wildwood events spell, fun, fun, fun. The last time I’ve been to waterparks and amusement rides was in Disneyland in 2006. It would be nice to revisit the excitement and exhilaration of getting on these rides especially because it is accompanied with great music.
