Flowers Bloom On Mother’s Day

May 11 is Mother’s Day. What does a child away from her mother can do to commemorate Mom? Well, my Mom is in the Philippines, and I must admit that it’s always been a challenge selecting a Mother’s Day present for her. Even for other occasions, it’s been a daunting task deciding what to send her.

This year, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, my Mom will be a recipient of a Large Basket Arrangement of seasonal flowers through 1-800-flowers.com. They deliver to the Philippines, and it’s good that hubby is a loyal patron of 1-800-flowers, we will not be looking anywhere else. My mother-in-law will likewise get her yearly Mother’s Day present from us. In as much as my husband is not a big flower giver, as he adores 1-800-flowers.com’s gift and food baskets, it’s on Mother’s Day that I solely decide the kind of flowers for my mom-in-law. She’s already been accustomed to her annual Mother’s Day flowers; and gift baskets on other occasions. Pretty predictable, huh?

Every Mother’s Day, after I call my mom; we proceed to my in-laws for dinner. Our annual flower gift almost always becomes the center of attention, as 1-800-flowers always delivers the freshest and most alluring selection of flowers. Not to forget the fact, that they deliver on time. Oh, and they even have a contest this year dubbed: Celebrate Mom For Who She Is. Over $30,000 in prizes are at stake.

This year, I can’t wait to see my mom-in-law’s reaction to my pick: the Pleasantly Purple Spring arrangement of roses, carnations and lisianthus in a lavender pitcher. I know 1-800 flowers never fails, that’s why we have made them our ultimate source of unique Mother’s Day presents for both our Moms.

Thanks for the early reminder… It can be more expensive ordering flowers on the last minute.

How I wish my mom is still here so I can send her flowers on Mother’s Day. But she’s gone to be with her Creator. Sending flowers is a good way to express your love to your mom.

I always buy cake for my mom on Mother’s Day but this time I wanna try sending her flowers for a change.

I’m thinking of asking for a gas range from hubby as mothers day & birthday gift at the same time, but since the construction of our house will start in a couple of months, it’s going to be a tight budget.
