I am hooked in front of the PC tonight. What better way to shake off my “current state of mind” than blogging. Reading is not an option for me; writing is more therapeutic. Somehow, the sound of my fingers tapping the keyboard is music to my ears for now. Sound weird, but it’s true.
My whole afternoon went pretty good, as I managed to do some chores and ran to Target for some much needed essentials. Believe it or not, I ran into a woman and had a long conversation with her. Take note: she’s a virtual stranger. She must have seen the sorrow in my eyes. She first approached me and she thought she had seen me in one of the hospitals in NYC. I shot back by saying, “I have never set foot in there, but have been at Sloan Kettering for the past few”. She was very friendly, we wound up exchanging numbers. It’s so comforting even just talking to a stranger. I guess I just need it… somebody to talk to, aside from my husband.
