Yesterday was such one “crazy” day for me. I pretty much woke up at a very reasonable time, so as usual, since it was Monday, it was supermarket shopping day for me. Thankfully enough, it was only the “in-between” shopping day, so I was only set out to get veggies and other highly perishable ingredients.
I went down the car, and found out the car won’t start. I should have anticipated for this, but “Cordie”, yes, that’s the name of our car, never gave us any warning signs that the battery was about to expire. The day prior to yesterday, my husband found everything was working properly. It must have been aggravated by the deep freeze we’ve been having the past few. In fact, snow is falling right now. And what do you expect from a 4 year and 6 months battery(still the car’s original battery). The car only has 9,000 miles though.
So, for the first time ever in years, our membership with AAA (Automobile Club of New York) was availed of. It was a bit of a wait; an hour and a half, as I needed to jump start Cordie. So off, I went to the Dealership, have the battery replaced and was home by 7:30 p.m. I was however, able to do my food shopping, so that’s a good thing.
But, this is the crazier part, as if one low batt was not enough, right in the middle of the chaos of calls between AAA’s third party service, the battery of my cell phone also went dead! So, I’m not even going to detail what transpired. Just go figure.
This is it for today…in My World.

Just be glad you were home and not all ready at the store when the battery decided to die! It’s so much easier waiting for AAA in the comfort of your living room.
