Sleepless in New York

Sounds like the famous movie: Sleepless in Seattle. But no, I’m not talking about the movie. It’s my own “movie”, *lol*.

Last night, I went to bed past midnight. Prior to sleeping for good though, I watched telly while the husband was already in la-la-land. My last stop on TV was HSN and somehow it got stuck in my head that the show at 5:00 a.m. was about scrapbooking. I am no digi scrapper, I scrap the traditional way. Anyway, I went to sleep and immediately nodded off. Strange thing is, I found myself tossing and turning all of a sudden at about 4:30 a.m. That was it, I was suddenly wide awake in bed. So, I decided to just get up at 5:30 a.m.

What did I do at 5:30 a.m.? I started dusting and cleaning up the place and water my few indoor plants after which I made my meal plan for the next two weeks and do my shopping list for this Monday’s supermarket run. Then I settled in my corner in the living room and catch up on newspapers that has been waiting for me for days.

All this time the husband was fast asleep. By 8:30 he must have sensed I was not in bed so he got up looking for me. He was surprise because I really am a late riser. He then decided to get up so he can head out to buy freshly baked rolls. He left me on my spot and soon enough I must have conked out I didn’t even hear him come back. I woke up at 10:00 a.m and found him sleeping, which means he went back to sleep.

It was an early start for a Saturday for us. We had breakfast and Frank went to the gym. I was sluggish the rest of the day and haven’t really done much hence, this late entry. I will definitely retire early tonight.

This is it for today…in My World.
