Is it early enough in the day to greet everyone? I hope you all have a wonderful and “bellyful” Thanksgiving celebration!
Today, my husband and I opted to just stay home. This does not mean we’re not celebrating the day, because we as a couple celebrate each and everyday thanking HIM for all the blessings He has showered us throughout the year. We’ll have our Thanksgiving dinner at a nearby Japanese bistro, walking distance from where we live.
Most families celebrate this day together. But sometimes I wonder if they really put prime value to what this day really means. Sometimes, we tend to overlook the real meaning of the day, as we get wrapped up with the festivities and not really think of the real essence of the day. Take for instance, a family that are just at most an hour drive away from each other. They celebrate Thanksgiving together, for that one day, and go on separate ways and won’t even bother to see each other the rest of the 364 days of the year. Now, tell me does that count as true celebration to thank Him or that 1 day is just for show and they would just wanna be together that day, because practice dictates it, and they think it’s the norm? To me, that’s just plain pageantry!
So much for this….My mind is just on overdrive. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
This is it for today…in My World.

Happy Thanksgiving!
