Brine the turkey

I was preoccupied this afternoon prepping up my turkey. I tell you, as it is my first time to handle a whole 12 lbs. turkey, I found working on it exciting and fun. My first attempt, who won’t be excited, right? That’s if, you really want to do it and learn.

So the turkey is now in the fridge immersed in the brine mixture that I concocted. While I was boiling the mixture, the aroma was so good yet it was just a mixture of different herbs and spices, onion, celery, carrots and lemon strips.

So tomorrow is turkey roasting day for me, 3 days ahead of most people. I’ll update you on the result.
