Yeah, my frozen turkey is now thawing inside the fridge ready to brine tomorrow, 24 hours before roasting. I took it out of the freezer Thursday night to give it enough time to thaw, as it has been in the freezer for a loooooong time.
The time sensitive ingredients will have to be picked up from the supermarket on Monday before I start roasting.
Wish me luck. My first attempt ever to roast a whole 12 lbs. turkey. I reiterate, this is not for Thanksgiving dinner. It’s just for the two of us. Trial run so to speak, before I host my first ever Thanksgiving dinner two years from now. Can’t wait.
