Long day

Yesterday was one of those days when I vowed to get out of bed and get going early. I sure did and for once, Frank didn’t have a hard time waking me up.

It was gonna be a soggy and rainy day as per weather forecast, with the rain coming in the afternoon. I wanted to run to Costco for my regular household stuff.

We were off to an early and quick breakfast by 9:00 a.m at the Vegas Diner. Sure enough, we were on our way to Costco about 15 minutes to 11:00, just in time for the store’s opening. There was a little delay en route to the store because of some roadworks. And once in the store, who would have thought there’s another delay just to get in. The escalator going to the upper level was not working. Right by the entrance, store personnel are informing shoppers that if they need to go up to the second level, going there first is a better way and just get a shopping cart once you’re up there.

Shoppers had to wait in line to get on a lift to the second floor. We got on the commercial elevator(the once that carry the merchandise to the second floor) after a good 20 minutes of waiting. We were finally done checking out an hour after.

Unpacking was a breeze, as I had hubby to help. Now, if you notice my previous entry, I was still wide awake at 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Imagine this long day—and this was without taking any naps in between. I was finally up for good this morning at 11:00 a.m. Not bad, huh?
