I’ve been meaning to write about the people close to my heart celebrating their birthdays in October. As usual, the forgetful “old woman”(*lol*) in me, I can’t keep up with everything going on all at once.
This month started with the birthday of my brother in law - S (the husband of my sister in law), (would that make him my brother in law?) on October 2nd. He’s a very low profile, simple guy.
Then on the 9th, it was the birthday of my older sister, Madelyn a.k.a. Ada.
Oh my, she’s getting up there but she’s still very young at heart as she has 2 teenagers at home. She’s by the way, the “culprit” why Frank and I became a couple.
Also on the 9th, it was the birthday of a close and a dear friend, Elsie based in California. She was a former colleague of mine at Procter & Gamble. Although, she’s very much older than me, we got along so well, that even if we had big disagreements at times, we just clung to each other. We really enjoyed each other’s company so much, that we took vacations together locally and out of the Philippines. We visited and stayed in their house for 4 days last May when we visited California. On her 50th birthday last year, although I just came back from our Bermuda vacation, I surprised her by flying over to California to be at her birthday party. The poor thing had no clue. Of course, I was in cahoots with her husband. He knew which hotel I was billeted and I just appeared mid day in the midst of her birthday preps. Frank was behind the plan, as he really encouraged me to go, and that it was okay for him to be left behind. This year, on her 51st I gave her an album filled with pics from last year’s celebration of her 50th. I wish I managed to take a pic of the album, but I totally forgot. It was a labor of love, and because I only do scrapbook the old fashion way(not a digi scrapper yet) it took quite a while to finish.
To these people, close and dear, I’m wishing you good health, and a lifetime of happiness!
This is it for today…in My World.
