Cell phone hazard

This incident happened a few months ago sometime towards the end of spring. I just didn’t remember to write about it but I got reminded today when I was on the phone with my sister.

My sister’s friend is now in the Burn Unit at one of the hospitals here in New York. She’s still there and no one can say when she’s going to be discharged. Why???

On that beautiful weekend she was busy re-painting a house she just bought as an investment (house to let). This woman is also a Lawyer, an Accountant and a real estate broker. She’s in her late 20’s and single. That day, her father was there to help out in painting. Suddenly her cell phone rang, and she immediately ran to grab her ringing cell phone. As soon as she took the call, the cell phone was ignited and a fire ensued. Apparently, since she was painting she was also handling paint primers and thinners. There may have been a reaction between the thinner and the cell phone. The father tried hard to extinguish the flame from her daughter’s body. He could only do so much.

75% of her body got burned and she’s beyond recognition. It’s a miracle that she’s still alive fighting for her life. Please join us in praying for a miracle and her recovery.
