Today, at sunset Jewish community all over the world will be celebrating Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement, known to be the holiest day of the year in the Jewish calendar.
Fasting starts at sunset tonight and breaking of the fast will happen tomorrow also at sunset.
Now, why am I even writing about this? Frank, who’s Jewish is here in Aruba on vacation. That’s the rebel in him. My in-laws must have been disgusted upon hearing of our vacation plans, as the schedule is right on the holiest day of the calendar of their religion.
Oh well, they didn’t say a word. So here we are …
